Full Day tours / Day hikes in the Cordillera Blanca
|Tour to Churup Lake (4450m/14596ft)|
|After breakfast in the Hotel our private transportation and the Guide will pick up you from your hotel and you will drive to the east side from Huaraz. After 1 hour and 20 minutes driving you will arrive to Pitec which is our start hiking point, during this drive you will pass small towns like Unchus, Llupa; Pitec is over 3800m, from there we will hike to the Lake over 4450m, this hike takes about 3 hours approximately, getting the Lake we will have time for lunch and take photos there, after lunch we will start go down to Pitec where our transport will be waiting for us and back to Huaraz, getting Huaraz around 16:00hours, overnight at your hotel.|
|Tour to 69 Lake (4500m/14760ft)|
|After the breakfast at your hotel our private van will transport you to North side of Huaraz. Traveling along the Callejon de Huaylas, we will pass the villages of Monterrey , Paltay, and Tarica. From here one more hour of driving will bring us to the Huascaran National Park . At the park entrance you will need your passport for registration. We will then continue to the trailhead called, Curva de Cebollapampa (3950m/9006ft). From this trailhead the hike will take approximately three hours, and upon arrival at this beautiful turquoise lake at (4500m/14760ft), we will break for lunch.
While eating you will have amazing views of the mountains Chacraraju, Huascaran , Yanapaccha. Returning to the trailhead should only take about two hours where our vehicle will be waiting to take us back to Huaraz.
|Tour to Llanganuco Lakes (3800m/12464ft)|
|After the breakfast in the Hotel we will aboard the Bus to go along the Callejón de Huaylas in the north side of Huaraz. Passing different traditional Andean towns, first arriving and making the first stop in Carhuas (2650m/8692ft), there we will find the traditional made at home Ice-Creams from local fruits, then we will continue our travel to the next stop in the ancient town of Yungay, this city was buried by an Avalanche that fell down from Huascarán north peak in 1970, the New Yungay (2500m/9200ft), from here we have to start going up to the Llanganuco Valley, almost in the base of Huascarán Mountain in the north side, for the entrance to the Llanganuco Valley where all tourist will register in the National Park Control, after that we will visit the two lakes Chinancocha and Orconcocha, after visit those lakes we will start go down for lunch close to Yungay, after lunch we continue our driving where we will make the last stop to visit Tarica for some handcrafts, there we will see the most impressive handcrafts made of mud, after that we drive to Huaraz, getting Huaraz around 20:00hours.|
|Tour to Chavin de Huantar Ruins (3140m/10299ft)|
|After breakfast at your hotel we will pick up you in our private transfer and drive to the Arqueological Ruins of Chavin de Huantar at (3140m/10,299ft). Along the way we will pass through many amazing towns such as Recuay, Ticapampa, Catac known for its mining and Callejon de Huaylas known for its production of cheeses. Then we will make stop to take pictures at Querococha Lake (3900m/12,792ft) located within the White Mountain Range . After that we will continue driving up to Tunel de Cahuish at (4516m/14812ft), then we will start down to Chavin de Huantar for about 1 hour more, arriving there we will visit the ruins with a Guide help, where we will spend two hours site seeing these magnificent structures. We will return to Huaraz between 19:00 hours approximately.|
