Olleros to Carhuascancha trekking - 6 Days / 5 Nights

 
Day 01: Huaraz – Canrey Chico – Tzacracancha
After breakfast in the Hotel, we’ll leave of Huaraz at 8 am. We will arrive to Olleros (3450m/11316ft) around 9:00am. Where we will meet our mountain staff and donkeys, from here we will start our trekking quite easy going up enjoying the splendid views and White Mountain peaks. Arriving our first Camp Tzacracancha (3800m/12464ft), overnight camping.

Day 02: Tzacracancha – Yanashallash Pass (4700m/15416ft) – Shongopampa
Today, early in the morning we will have breakfast and will start hike up at 9 am  to get the Yanashallash pass about 4 hours aprox. Where we will have lunch enjoying the splendid views. Then we will go down hill until second Camp at (3850m/12628ft). This day we have enjoyed walking in the Pre-Inka trail stone paved some parts, then we will start zigzag path to go down to Shonkopampa, our guide will recommend you to hold windy jackets, overnight camping.

Day 03: Shongopampa – Hato(3700m/12136ft) – Castilla Camp
This day, after the breakfast in Shongopampa around 08:30hours we will start go down hill to Hato village at (3700m/12136ft) for about 2 hours, then we will start hike up to Castilla camp for about 3 hours more, during this trekking we will see the Cordillera de los Conchucos in the East site and we will see nice peaks near the camp like Urhuasraju, Rurec, Huantzan and Tumnarina, overnight camping at (3900m/12792ft).
 
Day 04: Castilla Camp – San Juan pass (4850m/1590.8ft) – Rimarima camp
This day after the breakfast in Castilla camp we will start hike up to San Juan pass for about 3 hours and half, along this hike we will enjoy the nice views of amazing peaks like Huantzan, Tumarina and Rurec, arriving the pass over (4850m/1590.8ft) we will see the most interesting peak San Juan and Cayesh in the north side, lunch on the way.
After get the top we will start go down to our camp Rimarima, overnight camping at (4300m/14104ft).
 
Day 05: Rimarima Camp – Mirador (4600m/15088ft) – Carhuascancha
Later breakfast in the camp, after that we will start going up to MIRADOR for about 2 hours and half, it’s over (4600m/15088ft), from there we will see nice snow covered mountains, nice lakes and beautiful plants; you will see nice peaks like Maparaju, Tumarinaraju, Cayesh and others more. Lunch in the top of Mirador enjoiying the nice views.
After lunch we will start go down to the next camp Carhuascancha for about 2 hours, overnight camping at (3900m/12792ft).
 
Day 06: Carhuascancha – San Marcos – Chavin de Huantar – return to Huaraz
This day after the breakfast in the camp we will start descent down along the Carhuascancha Valley to the small village Yuracyacu, then you will do short uphill for about 30 minutes from where we look down San Marcos village (2970m/9741.6ft), then we will descend for one hour to this village where our private car will be waiting for us, one hour drive to Chavin de Huantar village where you can visit the archeological site if we have time, in case we get later drive directly to Huaraz, 3 hours and half drive back to Huaraz, arriving around 7:00pm.
